The Revised Ruby certification exam for Ruby 3 will be released on October 3rd, 2022.

Examination names

  • Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer Silver version 3
  • Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer Gold version 3

Candidates must pass both silver and gold exams to be the Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer Gold version 3.

Q1.Does Ruby exam certification expire?
A1.Never expire. But when you write it down on your resume there is a difference between old exam and new one.
Old: Ruby Association certified Ruby programmer Silver version 2.1
New: Ruby Association certified Ruby programmer Silver version 3

Q2.I’m Ruby Association certified Ruby programmer Silver version 2.1. Will I be certified as Ruby Association certified Ruby programmer Gold version 3 if I pass the new Gold exam?
