概ね直近2~3年の間に顕著な貢献をされた方を対象としています。
いただいた推薦内容を実行委員会で確認し、賞の主旨にあわせて下記の15名の候補者を選定しました。

2.0.0のブランチメンテナとして大変精力的に活動し、trunkの変更を全てチェックをして必要な修正を積極的にbackportするという多大な努力により6/27時点でpatch-level247という非常に多くの修正を含んだリリースを達成。
trunkのチェックは2010年からコミットを日本語で解説する活動としてスタートしており、こちらでもコミッタの能力及び意欲向上に多大な貢献をしている。
