Matz Companies with that environment are much more comfortable for contributers.

Kokubun I agree

Matz That side of things may be connected to this double award.
I’ve already heard about this but I would like to ask once again. You spoke about wanting to continue to focus on speeding up into the future, do you have any particular prospects or concepts for the future, including continuing current projects.

Kokubun I have great attachment to Ruby. But there are some cases where I believe it’s best to not use Ruby. For example, parallel processing.

Matz That’s right.

Kokubun There are times when you need a specific process for parallel processing to work and in those cases I don’t choose Ruby and Mr. Sasada is working on that. Another weak point for Ruby is, as I said, speed. Other than those cases I rarely use anything but Ruby. So I’m hoping to solve the speed issue.

Matz I see. I think Mr. Sasada needs a lot of input too, though. There are some areas where he would be overwhelmed on his own.

Kokubun That’s true.

Matz It’s a good time to conclude. I’m counting on the continued contribution to Ruby from young talented developers.

Kokubun Thank you.

Matz No, no, allow me to thank you.

Kokubun Thank you.
